FAQs

ReportPSR frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about reporting local service issues through ReportPSR and Public Service Request.

What is ReportPSR?

ReportPSR is a public reporting service powered by Public Service Request. It helps members of the public submit local service issues to participating organisations.

Does it cost anything to report an issue?

No. There is no charge to members of the public for submitting a service request through ReportPSR.

Do I need an account?

Account requirements depend on the receiving organisation and the final PSR submission behaviour. This answer should be confirmed before production launch.

What can I report?

Available services depend on organisations participating in Public Service Request in your area. Typical issues may include roads, water, drainage, parks, transit, waste, public facilities and other local services.

How does ReportPSR know where to send my request?

ReportPSR uses information such as your location and the type of problem you describe to identify an appropriate available service.

What if I don't know which department is responsible?

You don't need to. Describe the problem and ReportPSR will help identify an available participating service.

Can I add photographs or video?

Where supported, yes. Photographs and video can help the service provider understand the issue before attending the location.

Can I track my request?

Tracking options depend on the participating organisation and the information provided when the request was submitted.

What if ReportPSR isn't available in my area?

ReportPSR can only electronically submit requests to services made available by participating organisations. If an appropriate participating service cannot be found, we'll tell you before submission.

Is ReportPSR for emergencies?

No. ReportPSR is for non-emergency service requests. If there is an immediate threat to life or safety, contact the appropriate emergency service.
